Thanks to its ability to quickly make a bunch of fruit into a delicious smoothie with minimal clean-up, the Nutribullet is one of our favorite morning kitchen appliances. It’s got the power of a heavy duty blender while taking up less than half the space, and, bonus, you can just slap one of the screw-on carrying handles and use the plastic portion of the blender as a cup; reducing the dirty dish load (we seriously hate doing dishes) and giving you an easy go-cup for when you’re headed out the door.

We also use this guy to make protein shakes post-workout, by adding a cup or so of fresh berries, a scoop of whey protein, and some almond milk - just give it a few pulses and you’re all set. The Nutribullet 12-Piece High Speed Blender set comes with two small and one large cups to give you options when it comes to portion size. We’ve found having multiple sizes to choose from super useful when making not only smoothies and shakes, but also when blending soups, as the smaller blender body is perfect for a single serving, while the larger size easily makes enough for two to share.

There are two blade attachments because the makers of this thing wanted it to do literally everything, apparently. The “extraction” blade has four blades and is best for blending ice and fruits etc, and the “milling” blade is great for breaking down seeds, coffee beans, and grain. We find that we use the extraction blade much more often, but whenever we add flax seeds to our smoothies, we start by grinding the whole seeds with the milling blade before adding fruit, yogurt, and ice and changing over to the extraction blade to blend it all into a smoothie.

When it comes down to product design, this piece of equipment has a heavy and sturdy bottom that doesn’t shake or vibrate around the counter, something you may expect from such a small piece of equipment that has a 600-watt motor. It’s also relatively quiet compared to many other blenders we’ve had in the past, so no one is getting cranky when waking up to the horrifying sound of a blender at full speed at 6 a.m. All that said, we’re huge fans! Below you’ll find a list of exactly what comes in the 12-Piece set.
